EMERGENCY LIGHTING SYSTEMS
An emergency lighting system is considered a “Life safety system”, and therefore needs to be installed and be fully functioning to assist in the safe evacuation of people out of a building in an emergency situation. Emergency Lighting is provided for use when the normal mains supply fails and therefore must be powered from an independent source other than that which is supplying the normal lighting.
The purpose of an emergency lighting system is to allow safe egress from a building in the event of power failure or a fire situation. Our range of emergency lighting products provide a cost-effective solution to all emergency lighting systems. Normally escape route lighting is to provide adequate visual conditions and directions for safe egress on escape routes and allow individuals escape a building to safety. Another purpose of emergency lighting is to illuminate fire alarm panels, manual call points, fire extinguishers first aid equipment points of emphasis such as electrical distribution boards, steps/stairs and emergency exits to be readily identified.
